New York's development pipeline doesn't pause for anyone, and this seat opened because the zoning work keeps coming. You'd guide developers, owners, and operators through the city's land use maze: special permits, variances, rezonings, and landmark approvals, with regular appearances before the City Planning Commission, the Board of Standards and Appeals, and community boards. The matters are concrete — residential, mixed-use, and commercial projects that rise or fall on entitlement strategy.
What this firm is looking for
- 4 to 10 years of land use and zoning experience
- Experience with NYC zoning resolutions, special permits, and variances
- Track record of advocacy before city agencies and community boards
- Admission to the New York bar
- Real estate development or transactional exposure a plus
