The land use and environmental group is expanding its bench as California's regulatory landscape intensifies for developers, public agencies, and infrastructure players. You will handle CEQA/NEPA compliance, permitting disputes before local agencies and state courts, and transactional due diligence for real estate deals with contamination or wetlands exposure. Matters span affordable housing, transit-oriented development, and renewable energy siting across Southern and Northern California.
What this firm is looking for
- 6+ years of land use and environmental law experience at a law firm or in-house
- Deep familiarity with CEQA, NEPA, and California coastal and air quality regulations
- Experience advising real estate developers, public entities, or infrastructure clients on permitting and compliance
- Demonstrated ability to manage litigation and regulatory proceedings before state courts and administrative bodies
- Active bar membership; willingness to split time between Los Angeles and San Francisco offices in hybrid arrangement
