The investment management group advises registered funds, private funds, and asset managers on formation, compliance, and transactional matters involving pooled capital vehicles. Work spans 40 Act fund launches, adviser registration, and fund-level governance for clients in asset management, private credit, and alternative strategies. The practice is expanding its regulatory and fund finance capabilities in Chicago, New York, and Washington DC.
What this firm is looking for
- 3–7 years of investment management or funds experience at a law firm or in-house legal department
- Experience with registered investment companies, private funds, or investment adviser regulation
- Familiarity with SEC rules under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and Investment Advisers Act of 1940
- Transactional or regulatory background in asset management, fund finance, or related financial services work
- J.D. with strong academic credentials; admission to practice in relevant U.S. jurisdiction
