Finance Associate Attorney (Mid-Level) – Lender Side
You will represent banks, private credit funds, and direct lenders in structuring, negotiating, and closing secured and unsecured credit facilities—from cash-flow and asset-based loans to subscription-line and acquisition financings. The work spans middle-market and upper-middle-market deals, often involving cross-border collateral packages and intercreditor dynamics. Clients operate across software, healthcare, industrials, and fund finance, giving the practice broad industry texture. You will draft credit agreements, security documents, and commitment papers while coordinating directly with borrower’s counsel and deal principals at every stage.
What this firm is looking for
- 3 to 6 years of lender-side leveraged finance or private credit experience at a recognized law firm
- Demonstrated ability to run primary deal documentation and manage diligence workflows with limited supervision
- Strong academic credentials and active bar membership in the state where you will office
- Experience with unitranche, mezzanine, and first-lien/second-lien structures is valued
- Comfortable working from Boston, Denver, or New York in a hybrid arrangement
