Associate, Business Immigration
The business immigration group is expanding its New York presence to handle a growing docket of employment-based visa petitions, permanent residency matters, and compliance counseling for clients across healthcare, technology, and financial services. You will manage PERM labor certifications, draft H-1B, L-1, and O-1 petitions, advise on I-9 and E-Verify obligations, and represent employers before USCIS and the Department of Labor. The work demands close coordination with in-house counsel and HR teams on workforce mobility strategy. Hybrid schedule available.
What this firm is looking for
- JD from an accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing
- 3 to 7 years of business immigration experience with a law firm or corporate legal department
- Demonstrated ability to manage PERM cases and nonimmigrant visa petitions from intake to adjudication
- Experience advising employers on immigration compliance, audits, and worksite enforcement
- Strong writing and client communication skills; comfortable presenting to internal stakeholders
