The emerging companies and venture capital practice is expanding its M&A capabilities to meet surging demand from portfolio companies navigating acquisitions and strategic exits. You would handle purchase agreements, diligence, and deal structuring for buyers and sellers across software, life sciences, and fintech—often with complex cap-table or earnout provisions. Most work originates from repeat VC fund relationships and serial founders, so the deal flow carries real continuity.
What this firm is looking for
- 7–15 years of corporate and M&A experience, preferably with substantial venture-backed company representation
- Direct experience negotiating and closing acquisition transactions from term sheet through closing
- Fluency with equity compensation, preferred-stock provisions, and the mechanics of startup capitalization
- Ability to work remotely with regular presence in San Francisco for key client meetings and closings
