This associate will take over a docket focused on the financing of maritime and aviation assets, including drafting deal documents, negotiating terms, and closing transactions. Clients include shipping companies and aircraft financiers, with matters in various stages of negotiation, documentation, and refinancing. This role involves representing clients in disputes over payments and enforcement of security agreements, working cooperatively with in-house and external counsel.
What this firm is looking for
- 2-6 years' experience in transportation finance, particularly in maritime and aviation sectors
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and closing skills in finance transactions
- Experience with security agreements, debt financing, and structured finance
- Admitted to practice in either Los Angeles or Chicago for a hybrid role
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external legal teams
