Construction Litigation Associate
Sacramento’s development engine keeps running, and this group needs another lawyer who can step directly into active construction disputes. The docket leans heavily toward private and public works claims—delay and disruption, mechanic’s liens, stop notices, bond claims, and payment disputes—for general contractors, specialty subs, and project owners. You will handle matters in state and federal court and occasional arbitration, managing discovery, taking depositions, and drafting dispositive motions with genuine autonomy. Trial preparation is real here, not theoretical.
What this firm is looking for
- At least 5 years of construction litigation or closely related commercial litigation experience
- Hands-on familiarity with California mechanic’s lien law, stop notice procedure, and bond claims
- Admitted to practice in California
- Strong deposition and motion practice skills with a desire for courtroom exposure
