Litigation Associate (Media & IP)
You’ll represent digital publishers, production companies, independent creators, and platforms in disputes that turn on copyright, trademark, fair use, defamation, and right-of-publicity claims. The docket includes federal litigation, pre-publication counseling, and pre-litigation demand strategy for clients whose work sits at the intersection of journalism, film, music, and social media. Every matter asks you to balance aggressive advocacy with a nuanced understanding of how content gets made.
What this firm is looking for
- 3 to 4 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting.
- Demonstrated familiarity with copyright, trademark, defamation, or privacy law.
- Experience managing discovery, taking depositions, and drafting pleadings and motions.
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex media disputes for courts and clients.
- Admission to the New York bar.
