You will counsel and defend California employers that turn to us when their workforce problems become legal problems. Clients include agricultural producers, healthcare systems, logistics companies, and manufacturers who need clear-eyed advice on wage-and-hour class actions, PAGA claims, harassment and discrimination suits, and union organizing drives. Your days will move between drafting summary judgment motions in single-plaintiff FEHA cases, taking depositions, arguing before the DLSE, and guiding HR teams through leave-of-absence tangles and RIF planning. The role is fully remote within California, built for an associate who writes plainly, thinks commercially, and wants ownership of cases sooner.
What this firm is looking for
- 3 to 8 years of California labor and employment litigation experience, strongly oriented toward the management side
- Admitted to the California bar and in good standing
- Demonstrated ability to handle depositions, law and motion practice, and administrative hearings with limited supervision
- Fluent in California wage-and-hour law, PAGA procedure, and the interplay of FEHA, FMLA, and CFRA
- Clear, economical legal writing skills and comfort advising business clients directly
