This practice seeks a lawyer who thinks like a claimant and writes like a judge. You will represent commercial policyholders in contested coverage disputes involving D&O, E&O, cyber, and general liability programs—pressing insurers through litigation, appraisal, and negotiated resolution. The docket spans industries from real estate and hospitality to technology and professional services. You will handle cases from pre-suit strategy through trial or settlement, drafting coverage opinions, arguing dispositive motions, and managing discovery aimed at forcing recalcitrant carriers to honor their obligations.
What this firm is looking for
- 6 to 15 years of experience litigating complex insurance coverage disputes on behalf of policyholders
- Deep familiarity with commercial liability and professional lines coverage
- Strong motion practice and deposition skills, with a record of first-chair responsibility
- Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
