This is a partnership role for someone who has shepherded mixed-use and residential projects through entitlements, CEQA compliance, and local agency hearings—often in coastal cities with layered zoning regimes. Clients include developers, hospitality groups, and institutional investors navigating discretionary approvals and community-benefit negotiations. The work sits at the intersection of real estate transactions and regulatory strategy, with occasional exposure to litigation posture when approvals are challenged.
What this firm is looking for
- 10–20 years of land use and entitlement experience
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-jurisdictional development matters
- Established client relationships or portable business in the real estate sector
- Comfort working across desks with real estate transactions and land use litigation colleagues
- Active California bar membership or eligibility to waive in
