Commercial Litigation Associate - Construction
You will handle a docket of 20-25 active cases, with a focus on complex contractual, delay, and defective construction claim disputes, many involving New York City real estate. Your clients will be a mix of owners, developers, and contractors. Active matters include state and federal court litigation and arbitration hearings, as well as trial preparation. Expect to draft and argue motions, conduct depositions, and facilitate settlements.
What this firm is looking for
- A J.D. degree and 4 to 8 years of commercial litigation experience with construction law experience
- Admitted to the New York bar, with no other regional jurisdictions required
- A client-facing professional who can manage multiple matters with minimal oversight
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills essential, prior experience with New York state and federal courts preferred
- A collaborative team player, comfortable in a hybrid, client-focused environment
