Mass Tort / Toxic Tort (Asbestos) Associate
This associate will defend asbestos exposure claims from pleadings through trial, working with manufacturers, contractors, and premises owners across industries. The docket spans California state and federal courts, including MDLs and bankruptcy trusts. You'll manage written discovery, take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses, and draft dispositive motions in cases with significant exposure values. Remote work is open to candidates in Los Angeles or San Francisco.
What this firm is looking for
- 2–8 years of litigation experience, with mass tort or toxic tort exposure preferred
- Active California bar membership
- Deposition and discovery experience in complex civil matters
- Comfort managing a high-volume docket with autonomy
- Strong research and writing skills for motions practice
