You will structure and negotiate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and development deals for a proprietary portfolio that blends traditional commercial real estate with data-center and infrastructure assets. The clients are sophisticated institutional capital partners and operating companies, and the matters sit at the intersection of real property, technology procurement, and venture-scale growth. You’ll build the legal function from scratch — drafting playbooks, selecting outside counsel, and counseling the executive team on deal risk, entitlements, and asset-level financings. This is a first-in-house role for an attorney who has done volume commercial real estate work at a firm and wants to shape a business rather than just service one.
What this firm is looking for
- 7 to 18 years of commercial real estate transactional experience, with substantial time spent on acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing
- Deep familiarity with purchase and sale agreements, joint venture structures, and debt/equity financing documentation
- Admission to at least one US state bar and a portable book of institutional-investor or developer-client relationships
- Experience advising on land use, entitlements, or development matters is valued but not required
- Comfort operating independently in a lean, builder-oriented environment, with no dedicated paralegal or junior associate support at the outset
