A Los Angeles and New York boutique with a concentrated practice across corporate, real estate, entertainment, and complex commercial disputes
IP Partner
The incoming partner steps into a docket that bridges brand protection and commercial real estate—structuring IP-driven joint ventures for developers, clearing trademark portfolios for hospitality and lifestyle properties, and enforcing design patents and trade dress in federal court when knockoffs surface. Clients include vertically integrated real estate operators, consumer product manufacturers, and entertainment production companies whose IP assets are central to financing and expansion. The work ranges from licensing and coexistence agreements to adversarial proceedings before the TTAB and district courts, often intersecting with the firm’s active real estate and corporate transactions.
What this firm is looking for
- 4 to 8 years of experience in intellectual property practice, including trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a standalone docket—prosecution, enforcement, and transactional IP—with minimal supervision.
- Portable client relationships or a clear business-development pathway within the real estate, consumer goods, or entertainment sectors.
- Active bar membership in California or New York, as applicable to the hybrid location.
